PAWS care visible, even if there's none to pay. Admitted, means patient will be treated. Later on another mentor Dr. Abdul Sayed was identified during rescue by PAWS ambulance and PD when the bazaar people were witness to PD picking up the dog with own hands because of staff shortage. The rescue:It wasn't possible to pickup the dog last night because PD can't move from his office before 11pm each night and no local person known to him could find the dog.Today morning when going to his office PD decided to look for the dog. After asking around, the dog was found lying in front of shops and covered fully with a gunny sack that people had placed over her so that she could die peacefully.Estimated cost, if she remains Alive through 48 hrs: (Severity High).1) Ambulance Pickup and Release trip: Rs. 1502) Sheltering and Treatment through 30 days: Rs. 3,000Total: Rs. 3,150.Donation Receipt: Nothing at all. We've not been posting any cases since about the last 3 weeks because we've been losing heart about being able to keep PAWS running in acute financial crisis. But we need to show what pains are borne by animals and PAWS staff at shelter.#caseno827, 17/01/21 'Gunjan', female Indian Shepherd Dog mix of 6+ yrs from Ganjimill, Nandagarh Municipal Market, Barasat, admitted with hip injury and in critical condition after lying there on the road for 7 days.Condition as received: Absolutely dehydrated and critically subnormal temperature. Found that some local lady had given some unknown medicines to her, but she's been lying alongside the road for 7 days.PD called up PAWS ambulance and waited there without going the office. We should be happy, but we're sad.Everyday, 5 times a day non- FB animal lovers are finding us on Google and not finding other NGOs. Seeing animals suffer in front of their eyes they want to get them treated by paying costs. Such people are waking up to the cause of animals who have never turned their heads to see the suffering of animals. If it had been a business, we should have been happy, but we're sorry because we're incapable to serve so many. If we had the monthly support of such people, we could have bought our own land and built a large shelter capable of admitting 5 cases per day. But presently we're incapable. That's why we're suffering pain while saying "Sorry". ... See MoreSee Less

... We've not been posting any cases since about the last 3 weeks because we've been losing heart about being able to keep PAWS running in acute financial crisis. Many kind donors and patrons of PAWS have donated out of the way and beyond their capacities. But such amounts went to the material suppliers. With some hopes, admissions had opened briefly for paid cases ONLY, but closed again due to space and fund crunch. But quality treatment within the shelter has never stopped.#caseno821, 25.12.20: 'Nabo', male Pariah Mix of 6+ yrs from Gupta Colony, Barasat, admitted with weakness of rear legs and unable to stand.Happy Release Video, 13/01/21: He had to be released to his fate without the support of any mentor, because he was able to walk about after having gone through timely therapy.Mentor: None at all. Our member Nilanjana Roy receives many flying calls from within Barasat from kind people who suffering animals to be treated and they disappear after that with no trace. This was one such case.Observation at shelter when admitted: Neurological problems were causing him to head towards rear paralysis. Unable to stand for more than a few seconds.Actual cost: (Severity Normal).1) Ambulance Pickup and Release trip: Rs. 300.2) Sheltering and Treatment through 20 days: Rs. 1,200.Total: Rs. 1,500.Donation Receipt: Nothing at all.Shortfall: Rs. 1,000.Kind donors are requested to keep on donating so as to keep PAWS capable of treating animals with utmost care even for unpaid cases and also to cover the huge expense of Rs. 2.5 lacs per month for running a 100 dog/ cat capacity shelter that is kept equipped with most necessary gadgets and medicines, also now set to increase to 150.Payments/ Donation to PAWS can be done in 5 ways, described at our website pawsrescue.in/donate/#criticaldogcare#savekittens#animalwelfare #animaltherapy #maggotwound#animalrights#helpanimals #fightanimalcruelty #animalbirthcontrol #animalsurgery#adoptdontshop ... Q: Why is it that some posts of PAWS get into your notifications days or weeks after posting even though you've liked the Page?A: Because you have ignored several notifications in the past and FB thinks that you don't want to see PAWS posts.Q: How do some people get notifications of PAWS posts within minutes of posting?A: Because for several months in the past they have frequently liked the posts of PAWS on a daily basis.Q: Although you send your cases always to PAWS and you donate heavily for such cases, PAWS is unable to take your case now?A: It's because PAWS is not capable any more to take any more cases until reserve in bank grows to Rs. 1 lac again and occupancy of treatment cases comes down to 30.Q: How can you make PAWS capable again?A: By deliberately visiting PAWS Page once everyday and by liking each and every post that you've not seen before. It will take you 5 min per day. You don't need time to read. Just like the posts and close PAWS Page.Q: How will it help if you just like without reading or without donating?A: The posts will become popular in the eyes of FB and they will find a place in the news feed of thousands of other people. Many of them would donate for the specific cases in those posts.Q. Why is it now required to mention this now as if it's a game?A: Because it is a game that popular Pages should now pay FB for boosting each post so that they are flashed through the news feeds of several people. Let's play by the rules of the same game.Help PAWS to win the game. ... See MoreSee Less
